The Great Wall of China is one of the world UNESCO heritage icons of China. It is more than 2.000 years old. This place has become one of the favorite tourist destinations in China. It saves an interesting history-making you more attractive to visit this place.

⦁ A History of The Great Wall of China
The era of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) built a part of The Great Wall of China. The Great Wall collapsed due to the 6.9 magnitude earthquake shaking Qinghai Province. The part of the Great Wall of China lies two meters in Shandan, Gansu Province looks destroyed. The fallen part of this wall was initiated by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor from Tiongkok.
The emperor leading this Qin Dynasty commanded the existing wall to be destroyed. He instructed Chinese people to build the wall along the north region to protect China from the north attack. The greatness of the Great Wall of China was maintained in the era of the Ming Dynasty around the 14th to 17th century. Though it was built to prevent outside attacks, the Great Wall of China couldn’t prevent colonies from entering Tiongkok. The Great Wall of China was made of stone and soil. This building lies from Shanhaiguan China Sea Harbor to the west, Gansu Province. It protects some strategic areas in China.
After the Qin Shin Huang Emperor and Qin Dynasty fell, The great wall of China fell into some dynasties starting from the Han Dynasty to the Wei Dynasty broadening The Great Wall of China to protect themselves from the attacks of the other tribes. After that, The Great Wall of China was empowered by the Bei Qi Kingdom (550-577 M). The authority built and fixed the wall for more than 900 miles. The Sui Dynasty (581-618M) took control to fix this wall. After that, the Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, and Yuan Dynasty controlled The Great Wall. A part of The Great Wall of China built in the era of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) fell due to the earthquake.

  • The Height of The Great Wall of China
The height of this building is various at 15 to 50 feet. This great wall is towering about 15 to 30 feet or 4.5 meters to 15.2 meters. This building has a keeper tower in some parts. The length of this wall is up to 8.000 kilometers. The real length of The Great Wall of China is 8.851 km. It is the overall length from the length of the whole complex. Someone has traveled it and spent months running it.
  • Various Names
Before it was The Great Wall of China, this wall has previous names. Some of them are Barrier, Purple Frontier, Earth Dragon, and Fortress Rampant.
  • So Many Tracks
The Great Wall of China has some tracks. At least, it has 5 tracks i.e Juyongguan, Mutianyu, Simatai, Jinshanling, and Badaling. Juyongguan is the closest track to Beijing and became the war location. Badaling is my favorite one because it has a museum and shopping center. Mutianyu is located in the mountains so it looks so beautiful. Jinshanling and Simatai have a far distance if you start to travel from Beijing.
